A young ripe peach, 18 years old and standing about 5’2. Little slim thick thing, cute face and slim waist... AND FRESH OUT HER MAMAS HOUSE. This was my first year in college, no boyfriend (we’ll officially at least, Whew another blog for another day) grades good all of that. It’s getting towards the end of the semester and it’s fall probate time. QUES, ALPHAS, & SIGMAS YASSSS GIRLLL (Is it getting hot?) but class starts the same time door open. Class or Probate? You guessed it.... PROBATE IT IS lol. (Don’t judge me I graduated college with a great GPA). Roommate Shayla and I got dressed cute as always, face beat, smelling good and we took our walk to the PAC. Of course we managed to get good seats, first come, the Sigmas, Then came them Ques. It had to be 40-50 of them (OKAYYYYY) finally they unmask. Honey when they unmasked the ace I should’ve known then... Whew.
The ace happened to be someone I had recently exchanged numbers with, we met on the quad, then somehow one night in the club we found ourselves dancing with each other. He was a nice cute dark piece of chocolate, and guess who hit that line right after probate? PEACHH. Time went by we started texting, calling, exchanging pictures honey all that. Right after probate time it was thanksgiving break and everyone that attended BCU or FAMU knows that means it’s Classic time. I went home only to come back to Orlando for my first classic as a student and guess who texted me the whole way home and the whole way back to Orlando… THAT DARN DOG. Did I mention he was in the band too? We finally get to the classic enjoy the game and the halftime show of course and as I’m getting ready to leave he insisted that I cross over The whole stadium to come see him before I left and guess who did it PEACHH (with my Mom and Aunty trailing behind me of course).
Fast forward to about a few days later thanksgiving break was over and my parents dropped me off to school about a day or two early before classes resumed, I came back blonde hair, long ponytail down my back, honey you couldn’t tell me nothing, soon as I walked in my dorm room, I got that “WYA, I’m coming to pick you in a few text”. YASSS DUDE HAD A CARR (Did I mention he was a graduating senior at this time) Now at this point I’m nervous never been alone with dude, but I got ready and he pulled up music blasting, and scooped me from the back of my dorm. we ended up in his dorm, met his roommate, we chilled, watched football (acted like I knew what was going on) dude had made me plate of thanksgiving leftovers his mama cooked & I swear it was midnight when I woke up back up.
Fast forward this began to be a pattern. I was being picked up after class, in the middle of the day, before class, Hell I was even getting picked up after curfew. One night he picked me up, drove to a waterfront and that night I was introduced to that Paul Masson life... and guess what flavor it was? PEACCCHH. That night was one of the most memorable nights of my life, top down, under the stars, cup in my han... (opp I forgot I said I’m was 18), watching battle of the band videos... and yeah ALLL THATT GOOD STUFF.
After that night, I noticed how much fun I was having just chilling with dude, not worrying about being in a relationship, like definitely just a whole vibe. I was painting the Que tree with his line brothers and getting to know them with one of my favorite girls from school (Hey Justine), I made sure I was at Battle of the bands in Atlanta that January for his last one for support... Honey life was good. I seriously bond the best with dudes, always have. Eventually he went on to graduate and moved back home. But the next semester we came back and as soon as I’m getting ready to walk out of the bookstore, guess who was walking in, weeks later I’m dancing at a party, guess whose behind me barking in my ear... THAT DARN DOG. One of the coolest, most laid back dudes I have ever come across. Don't be afraid to come across a Dog ladies, I promise they don't bite.
I tell you this today, Don’t go into college in a relationship. Explore have fun, and don’t jump into a relationship when you get there. I enjoyed just hanging out, flirting, and vibing. You learn that some of your greatest memories are when things aren’t controlled and pressure free. Freshman year I had so much fun, and that is what it is meant for, you to have fun while continuing to learn who you are. OH AND IT'S OKAY TO TALK TO BOYS IN FRATERNITIES!!! GO FOR IT SIS. PERIOD!
many more blogs to come of college experiences for my subscribers heading off to college soon or are in college at the moment. Stay tuned
